David, Yep, you are correct-ATM is a WAN technology and a healthly and doing well. I believe that there was talk a few years ago of also using it as a LAN technology and it really can't compete against the various flavors of Ehternet in the LAN marketplace. My fingers got ahead of my research. Anyway.... I just did a quick survey of job postings for ATM programmers and which RTOSes ATM vendors are basing their ATM implementations on. Here are the results: pSOS 47% VxWorks 44% VRTX 9% Looks like INTS and WIND are neck and neck. Richard Richard
