Frankly I tire of the subject. I'll try to be clear. When I heard that Lutz was touting VVUS I had to laugh. It's classic. Lutz seldom digs deep on fundamentals or technicals. He finds emotion based hype driven stocks more often then not at or near the peak of their run up.
Ol' Doc Tuna was dancing in the streets speculating on the rocket ride up this will mean for VVUS. My comments were simply a warning to be careful. As often as not Lutz's stocks are wild rides of volitility that end up DOWN, not up. Thats all.
If you read my prior post you will see that I was the first one to comment that this should push the stock higher. Temporarily. Nothing has changed fundamentally about this company. Wall Street puts a value on a company based on expectations months, sometimes years ahead of time. This company still has only one product, virtually no R&D, questionable efficacy, and lots and lots of competition on the horizon. It is hugely valued and in my opinion only a matter of time before the street realizes this. All it has going for it is people like Lutz, and ol' Doc Tuna who are into hype and emotion.
I would love to see you run this thing back up to the 70's or 80's so I could short it again at it's peak. Frankly I don't see that happening but Cabot will probably pump it into the 50's barring one single piece of bad news that will drop it back down to the 30's.

A year from now VVUS will trade lower than it trades today (and yes, I mean the split adjusted price.)
