You do not suppose that it is internally constrained by limits on iTs technology. inteL's massive expenditures, this year, on capital equipment, in the very worst case for iT, may turn out to be "money down a black hole" from which iT cannot retreat. iT may, however, have some unexpected surprises; I have learned over the years, sometimes very painfully, to never underestimate iT's capacity to surprise (for example, the "new" version of the peEweEfouR may have some unwelcome, for us, surprises). If the gamble that iT is taking will be for capacity it turns out that iT will have enormous difficulty retrieving any return, such can ultimately mortally wound the company.
