Teach a man to fish, and he can stand on his own<< chris, i 150% agree! i'm not for enabling bad behavior. incentives should be given for people to improve their lot (and all the generations that come from their family). i'm NOT for paying people $4k/ month to sit at home and smoke dope! i do not believe the system is set up very well and i think changes ought to be made, but probably never will b/c the administration of welfare cares more about itself than the folks they serve. reducing welfare and increasing workfare (w/o workfare many of those welfare would still be there) is a good idea. teach folks to fish. i'm all for it.
