Drive through any affluent suburb on a weekday. You'll see plenty of landscape crews and plenty of maid service vans, all populated by adults (the kids are in school) working full-time minimum wage jobs. Lots of minimum wage adults work all night cleaning offices, too. That nice saccharin phrase, "working poor" includes lots of people who work two or more minimum wage jobs doing back-breaking physical labor and still don't earn enough to feed and house themselves and their families.
