I understand the concept of original sin I just reject it as religious politics. It is the first socialist wheeze, the beginning of the straw man. There is no room for a hero under the concept of original sin. There is no way nor is there supposed to be a way to rise above it. We can't trust our tainted subjective senses under original sin nor do we have true free will under that influence.

I know a venerable old fat head who after a lifetime of work has entered the realm of ideas, he says he likes to debate but really he likes to make prepared speeches. One feather of a word can knock him off his stride. Here are two statements that I unfortunately still remember:

"Marx was a highly educated man" this statement to defend Marxism. Marx may have been educated but he was really just another useless speculator. A man like Marx is nothing in comparison to a a man or woman of action, such as Joan of Arc. Of course people say she was violent and of course the end result of Marxist philosophy is that big festive picnic called the Soviet gulag.

Another statement was "I don't want to see ten year olds in the mines" I asked what mines? Where are those mines with ten year olds in North America. A blank was drawn and no answer given because no answer was possible. The extension of the straw man, make up something horrible, something that does not exist and whine for it to be removed, whine for somebody to hear you whine. Elect them so they can point a gun at you and show you how to really whine. After all we're all tainted and guilty under the concept of original sin.
