Gloop, WRT your point about GNP... What about money supply? And the real rate based on inflation (a malleable number to be sure). Will the Federal Reserve, do its job, keeping the supply of money and credit in line with the economy's real growth? Is money growing more slowly than production? Are we heading into a deflationary cycle a la the Japanese? And of course the wild card now is energy costs, will it retrace and stabilize or does it continue to sap $$$ away from other expenditures and continue to drag on the economy Lot's of questions, not a lot of answers.
