Snake gets revenge on homeless drunk
Boca Raton, May 12 (CNN) -
A snake being tormented by a homeless drunk in an Florida coastal resort on Saturday responded by almost choking the idiot to death, police said.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning in the city of Boca Raton, on Florida's eastern seaboard.
Police said 89-year-old Capt Quaile was wandering about the town with a two-metre (six foot) python, which he used to harass passersby before repeatedly hurling the snake against a wall and laughing hysterically.
Two police officers arrived to find Capt Quaile, clearly a little the worse for wear, had retrieved his companion and was parading with it around his shoulders, Sergeant Anita Life, of Boca Raton's police, said.
The reptile's patience, however, was at an end and it decided to reassert itself, by choking Capt Quaile. Passerbys were gathering and were cheering the snake on. The crowd was chanting, "Tighter, tighter, tighter."
Capt Quaile gasped for air and then "fell face first into the concrete. We usually find Capt Quaile face down in the mud or on the sidewalks after his drinking binges," Life told local media. Life's road patrol partner, Sergeant Anita Mann, told reporters she also joined the crowd in the chanting before intervening to rescue Capt Quaile.
The police at the scene first thought to use their batons to unwind the snake from around Capt Quaile's throat, but they decided to wait until the snake choked the shit out of Capt before they finally rescued the drunken fool from his snake. |
