Dale, Re: I come up with a die size of 11.75mm X 12.5mm = 147mm2, and 158 die per wafer.

Thanks. That means there are about 60 more Thunderbird dies on a wafer than Palomino dies. At 5,000 wafers per week AMD "loses" 300,000 dies per week or 3,6 million per quarter. Assuming 70% yields that's 2,5 million Athlons per quarter. Quite a lot. No wonder AMD hesitates switching Dresden's output to Palomino. I hope the new features are worth the added die size.
