Interesting thought. Could be. Does seem strange that they would cuff her and haul her to jail for seatbelts. What else did the cops know?

But that's only part, maybe a small part of the story. This is about a USSC decision. That's the most important part. If the news stories are accurate (I know, how much chance is there of THAT?), the court said the cops could cuff and jail citizens for essentially any offenses. That seems an extreme and dangerous extension of police power.
