I spent some time in Morroco. There were a few shops seling I believe they called them "Persian rugs." I really know little about that product line but it sounds perfect for a new line for Amazon to sell. Thet do not need installed as I recall and can ship in a large cardboard tube. I believe Amazon should offer free shipping with a purchase of two. What do you think? I observe retaill marketing a lot. It helps me learn. I saw Amazon selling $2K to $3K outdoor grills last January and there are hardly any in their store now. At that time Kmart, Wal-Mart, Sears, etc. were promoting snow throwers, space heaters, etc, in the colder climate areas. They now have a huge selection of outdoor grills, tents, picknic products like coolers, etc. with specials on them. It appears Amazon must think on-line shipping should be done five months in advance so one has their product when they want it. I suppose Amazon will be heavily promoting leaf rakes and leaf blowers towards the end of May. They likely can buy them for less at the moment. Amazon is a goldmine of marketing information and one to be emulated for proper timing.
