Actually, it would be more than 63% more expensive, as cost goes up superlinearly with die size (because defects increase with die size).

However, I point out also that in the mobile market, the extra cost might not be such a horrible thing. Intel is clearly not yet willing to drop mobile prices to the point where AMD's mobile margins (er, I mean the margins they'll be getting once this product moves out; right now, of course, their margins are pretty much nonexistent, mobile spitfire notwithstanding) make the laptop market unprofitable for them. Even with the cost disadvantage and the rather astounding undercut in price compared to the PIII, I suspect that AMD's pretty happy with the mobile margins that they're looking at.
