HK PRESS:PCCW Needs Govt OK To Sell Cyberport Devt Rights

HONG KONG -- Pacific Century CyberWorks Ltd. (H.PCW) would need permission from the Hong Kong government if it wants to transfer its Cyberport project development rights, Hong Kong Economic Journal reports, quoting a top official from the Information Technology Services Department. The official said PCCW has the development rights and theoretically couldn't transfer the rights before getting approval from the department. The government comments follow market speculation that PCCW may try to sell its rights to develop the high-tech park.
