Cruelty aside, the downside from what your shares in any given company are at any given moment is always 100%, no matter what each share is worth. And on the other side, your upside is theoretically infinity. But you can lose just at much of your assets buying or holding a 15 cent stock as a stock with a 1000 buck share price.
