General Comment: Not too shabby is the Athlon 4...From near zero presence in the mobile space to price/performance leader across all MHz ranges in the mobile space in one fell swoop...and CPQ on board to boot, soon to be followed by HP (if not there already), Sony and a host of others (IBM included) as AMD bites off a huge chunk of the mobile market share...Now price/performance leader in two of the four spaces (i.e consumer PC and mobile (laptop) with the remaining two, workstation and server, to be conquered by price/performance leading new product intros over the next 3 months...Exciting times at AMD who are just now entering a second ascendent phase (ist came with Athy intro) in their evolution with the intro of the Palomino this AM...

Even though general markets not too supportive this AM, look for AMD to build momentum over the next month carrying its price well into new near term high territory(well above $33.15)...Once a few Palomino based Athlon 4's get passed around the public domain, one can expect a rising tide of interest in Athlon 4's at the consumer, corporate and OEM level leading to accelerating revenues owing to its superior performance features...one can also anticipate increasing interest in the Palomino features and the outstandingly positive implications for future workstation and server products based upon this new and higher order of processing power as evidenced by the Athlon 4's superior performance owing to the new Palomino processor...

An HISTORIC day at AMD today which is marked by the intro of the first of its family of soon to be introduced new products based upon the Palomino...as the Palomino signals a new and higher order of processing power than is currently available in the microprocessor sector...
