None of this applies to McVeigh. That was one case where there was no need to hide anything.

Agree which is why it is really bothersome.

Perhaps smooth is onto something. I wouldn't mind doing away with capital punishment if I knew that these people would never draw another free breath or write books or do interviews or anything else. While I doubt that Charles Manson will ever be paroled the mere fact that he is eligible is offensive to me.
