story in this morning's local paper (Providence Journal) that a class action suit has been filed against Fleet Bank for bait and switch... it is alleged that Fleet offered no annual fee cards and low (8%) balance transfer rates which were described as "non-introductory" and to last the life of the balance transfer; and then at a later date raised the rates and instituted annual fees. don't know about that, but I do know Fleet has announced that they are reducing the rebates on their Gulf Credit card to 3.5% on Gulf gas and 1/2% on all other purchases (from 4% on gas and 1% on other purchases) Bob
