eichler - Don't misunderstand my caution for bullishness, I was only suggesting that IMO the jury was still out on whether we will see our now much anticipated FOMC puke. The TA is still in transition right now, as opposed to being clearly bullish or clearly bearish, and that bugs me.

This is what's holding me back from shorting ahead of time - if a lesser cut comes but is interpreted by fund managers that the Fed sees the economy recovering sooner and/or better than expected, they might also interpret that as a major buy signal. Short positions (especially new ones) would consequently suffer rather badly, as the selling of late has created plenty of room for the technicals to turn back up.

JMHO but just the kind of insidious behavior the market is famous for.
