I haven't backpedalled at all. The CA dereg model is certainly "bad" and almost every dereg model I've seen is horrendously flawed and will more likely than not fail. If there is an answer to this at all it's in slow, deliberate restructuring.

My so called "wild" claims as to who is responsible for the shortage at least take into account both sides of the supply equation. I haven't seen that "nuance" discussed by any of the "free marketeers" as of yet.
