Pravin:

"We'll have to wait and see how long it takes before this can happen. In my book, this is a paper launch. 500 systems on HSN and Build-to-order systems from Compaq (no verifiable ship date at this time) does not a real launch make. I'll consider it a launch when systems are available at retail. The Sony mobile Duron launch is better than the BTO Compaq Athlon 4 launch. Now, having said that, I do expect other OEMs to announce systems "in the coming weeks."

Palomino is here...Palomino is a reality...Phase 2 in AMD's exciting evolution has just been kicked off with the Athlon 4 launch and one can expect AMD momentum to build over the next week to month once the significance of the Palomino and its full potential within the microprocessor sector begins to sink into the investment community psyche!!! For the moment AMD continues to trade in sympathy with the Nas, SOXX and INTC...Once these indicators turn green for a spell (should happen anytime now as SOXX at 600 is way oversold), I'd expect AMD to gallop ahead to new near term highs, maybe even eclipsing $40!!!
