The wells at East Lost Hills only go to 20,000 feet. They cost about $10-12M per hole with an additional $4M for completion. They high cost is created by the hardness of the rock which creates very slow drill times. I went out to Bakersfield several weeks ago and had a good look at the project. Three wells are currently drilling and one is producing gas (hooked up with pipes to a gas/oil gathering facility nearby). The wells are aimed at about 2,000 feet of multiple pay sands that are found between 17,000 to 20,000 feet depths.

TRIL claims to have made a major discovery but I cannot any production data? Has anyone seen any data? If there is no data I would be very careful. Understand that a well on a prospect called Kingfisher (on this same trend) is to be drilled shortly by another group and is ranked as a wildcat. More to follow later
