Depends. If he's offensive line, he has to be able to quickly grab the ball, should his teammate drop it (ahem grin). Also, he needs to be able to hold his opponent and then remove his hands before the ref sees him. That takes amazing skill.

If he is defensive line, he has to be able to have really quick hands to strip the ball from his opponent. Then he has to be able to run with the ball once stripped. Takes a lot of talent, that does.
