it's slow in ie5.5, in fact, so slow that i grew impatient and hit the stop button. this often causes a page to fill that otherwise was taking forever and a day.
if this problem is only with this site, well, then, that's an indication of where the problem lies. if your netscape browser is also not opening other sites, then it's netscape.
i used to use netscape darn near exclusively, but i encountered so many browser crashes and bogged down performance problems that i switched. ie has been a much better browser for me.
as for not being able to use your browser for other sites temporarily when a particular page is attempting to load, i don't find that all that unusual. that is, it happens from time to time. whether it's internet traffic probs or the site's server, who knows.
you can do some basic process of elimination steps (like trying the site with ie) to see if you can isolate the condition. but it doesn't sound too unusual to me, plus i've just run into similar behavior when trying the url with my browser.
