DRBES, my suggestion for a stable server motherboard is the MSI K7T Turbo (VIA KT133A chipset). It's extremely stable (Anand couldn't crash it once during a 48h stress test), has lots of features and provided very good thermal monitoring of the CPU (the latest BIOS even includes a shutdown option when a certain temperature limit is exceeded). There's also a RAID version available (Promise Highpoint Lite) but I doubt that it will fullfill your server needs. It supports only RAID0 (striping) and RAID1 (mirroring).
