NPD ** NEWS CORP.'s (NWS: 18-3/8, + 3/8) Fox Kids Worldwide Inc. unit agreed to buy INTERNATIONAL FAMILY ENTERTAINMENT (FAM: 33-7/8, + 2) for $35 a share in cash, a transaction valued at $1.9 billion, including outstanding debt. Completion of the acquisition, still subject to certain conditions, will not occur until the end of a 20-day period following the date a definitive statement is sent to International Family shareholders.
