News Release

A Quarterly Update Report on Stockgroup.com Holdings. (OTCBB: SWEB) by
Investrend Analyst Sherry Grisewood, CFA

NEW YORK CITY -- May 14, 2001 -- (InvestorWire)A Quarterly Update Report on
Stockgroup.com Holdings. (OTCBB: SWEB) by Investrend Analyst Sherry
Grisewood, CFA was released today by Investrend Research. Ms. Grisewood
maintained her Speculative BUY rating with a target price for SWEB of $5.
The report is available at no charge at www.investrend.com/.

Ms. Grisewood noted in her update:

"We are maintaining our Speculative Buy rating on Stockgroup Holdings.com.
The Company has made substantial progress in building multiple revenue
streams and now possesses the most diverse revenue model of its peers. Since
our last update, the Company has demonstrated a clear transition from solely
a financial news service and content provider to an innovative financial
applications service provider targeting public companies. To reflect these
changes, Stockgroup has renamed its principal business segments as Services
for Public Companies, E-business, and Tools & Content.

We have revised our financial forecast for 2001 of $.05 (before non-cash
interest charges) on revenues of $6.6 million and instituted a preliminary
estimate for 2002. The substantial changes in our revised 2001 forecast take
into account the effects of a softer economy during the first half of the
year, leading to a lower revenue forecast as Stockgroup's target customer,
small public companies, deal with the slowdown and constricted capital
markets.

Despite the exceedingly difficult market conditions of late and the total
collapse of valuations for just about any company having a Web-based
business model, we believe that Stockgroup stands out among its peers in its
diverse revenue model, technologically advanced products and branded,
focused market position. Revenue growth will continue to be driven by
turnkey products aimed at corporate clients and operating leverage should
begin to become apparent as growth in revenue is spread over the existing,
much smaller infrastructure. As these positives unfold, and investor
psychology improves, the shares should re-establish upward momentum".

Ms. Grisewood has had extensive experience as a sell side analyst, primarily
in small cap stocks, and has worked for such firms as DLJ, and EF Hutton.
She has over 15 yrs experience as an independent special situations and
small cap analyst, and in addition she has been writing cash & futures
market commentary since 1982. In addition, she has performed extensive
analysis for investment banking projects and currently has her own practice
working on securities analysis. Ms. Grisewood holds a BS degree with Highest
Honors from Ramapo College of NJ and is a member of The New York Society of
Security Analysts.
