Ish, think about this, how much of that debt can we claim brought about, or at least hurried the downfall of the Soviet Union? Since the downfall of the Soviet Union created thousands of new jobs and entrapaneureal activity doing business with the formally controlled client states. How many additional taxes were raised from those business enterprises because of the break-up? Just imagine, every plane flight is taxed, every package sent, every phone call, every bar of soap, razor, and tube of tooth-paste. The numbers must be staggering! Reagan made the right decision at the right time in history. Our children not living under the fear of nuclear annihilation, and the opening of VAST new markets was a sound long term investment.
