isopatch,
Some perspective on auction results from Kitco:

Date: Tue May 15 2001 07:18
JPS (Previous oversubscriptions.) ID#238176:
Jan it was 4.8x oversubscribed, and gold fell from $266 to $264
Mar it was 2.2x, and gold fell from $266 to $264

Obviously a lot of goldbuggers out there that do their homework. But as they say, "past performance is no guarantee of future results".

London morning gold fix ("Fix" is getting to be real appropriate term, eh?) was 268.05 so I guess they were feeling charitable and gave the bidders a nickel off, ggg.

POG has been bobbing up and down since the BOE, but mostly down and hanging around that 268 street corner.

I'd say it's "waiting for something, another life maybe"

When's the Resurrection? This Friday or next, if not later today...

Best,

Roebear
