Dont disagree with the overcapacity issue but question whether we can just blow off fed intervention. At worse I think we are heading for mini-japan-mini 70's type of problem which could exist into 2002. That would be slow growth, some minor inflationary pressure, 5% unemployment. At best we might have a sharp recovery with legs. The problem is that we are all guessing. Lets see where the market takes us today both in terms of the rate cuts and in terms of amat earnings. Predictions have been way off by experts and threaders. The market may be the best predictor at this time. mike
