It does help. I thought that was common sense, but then my bro-in-law said i didn't need it. I have SO little confidence in my common sense that i thought i'd ask you.

Another question. I get rather a lot of messages from ZoneAlarm about attempts to communicate with my computer being blocked. I've looked at the info, if there is any (there usually isn't) on the 'more info' link, but it doesn't mean anything to me. There is a message with the word "Broadcast" in it, too, that appears from time to time. What i've been doing is just letting it block whatever it wants to. Are there criteria I should be applying that would make this a less blanket sort of blocking operation, do you think? How do you decide? Just 'OK,' the way I do, all the time?
