I don't care what people do on their own time.......it's when they are in an official gov't capacity they should adhere to their job description. If he was appointed Chaplain.......go for the prayer, but Ashcroft is the AG.

Nobody would care if he had these meetings on his private time. I would defend his right to worship as he pleases.....but as a private citizen and not in his capacity as AG.

We may someday have a Moslem, Hindu or Buddhist as AG. Protecting religious rights protects us all against someday having Christianity trodden upon.
