>>which battles has RMBS lost to date?<<

let's see...

1. rmbs missed out on 2000 estimates of market share.
2. now they've screwed up on 2001 market share.
3. they lost their ddr court battle with infineon.
4. they lost their sdram battle with infineon.
5. they will lose royalties from current royalty paying companies for sdram.
6. they will lose royalties from current royalty paying companies for sdram.
7. steve appleton at micron is laying in wait to kick rmbs' arse in court instead of at a sf party.
8. rmbs lost out on being intel's primary dram technology due to delay after delay caused by problem after problem.
9. the dramurai is also laying in wait to cream rmbs in court over ddr and sdram royalties. oh, and they will fraud allegations, too.
10. rmbs has yet to achieve anything other than a small niche market and here it is mid 2001.
11. rmbs was convicted of fraud in the us. expect more fraud convictions and more fines.
12. rmbs stock is down well over 90% off its highs.
13. rmbs is burning equity forcing companies to go to court so rmbs can get tagged with a "fraud" label and millions in legal fees.

yes, you can sit there and pompously say how the titanic is a great ship b/c deck is so nice.

ps - everyone else is heading for the lifeboats. you are in for some cold seas and it is no longer rmbs' fault - it is your fault.

btw, the folks with insight have always said rdram will stay a niche market. why? its price/performance ratio spells niche market, niche market, niche market. guess what? rdram is niche market, niche market, niche market and intel is aggressively finding an alternative to rdram.

guess, what? one doesn't need to know all the ins and outs to conclude rmbs has many, many problems ahead of it.

if all of the above doesn't spel "l-o-s-a-h-!" the n i don't know what does!

rmbs is a spec buy at some price point below $11. i suspect we'll eventually see it.

hey, you kinda dig tough love from your speculations, don't you? ;-)
