duff, you're not missing anything. The bonds are a good buy. They will not be called because MRVC will not want to put up the 90 million to call them. So the bonds will remain until maturity. Unless MRVC flies again in which case you will benefit from the increase in price. If for some unusual reason the bond is called, you will receive a price of $1000 per bond for a profit of about 200 dollars per bond or whatever the difference between the call price and what you paid. As the French say "VIVA LA DIFFERANCE" you will have made a rather large % profit based upon an annual rate.

One caveat: these bonds may be for sale only to institutional investors. C'EST LA VIE.
