there is still quite a lot of spending going on, one thing to remember is that 70% of the stock market capitalization
which was not in tech has not been hurt much at all by lower equity prices. I've seen big parts of the US economy
and areas of the country get hurt by downturns over the years, and it feels horrible in the areas that are in
a downturn, but it's not uniform. So far we're a long way from 1973-74, but we need to be on the watch to
see if we deteriorate into that type of situation.
