Greg,
In the short term, One Xcel will not contribute much to the bottom line for Oakley. Currently, only $2.4 million in annual revenue, I was told. This aquisition will help get more exposure to consumers. Who watches sports? CONSUMERS DO! Oakley is achieving brand recognition. They make superior products. Obviously, I am an Oakley bull! But for good reason I feel. They have learned a great deal in the last year. Oakley is more aggressive with new and innovative product introductions, they have maintained reasonable inventory levels on the retail end & their distribution in Asian and European markets is increasing quarter to quarter. All this is good news for the company, and the shareholders will be rewarded. The annual shareholder meeting is next week (June 17th) at the Oakley headquarters. I will be attending, thus, I will share my personal "TWO CENTS" on it. I am looking forward to it! GOOD LUCK!
