the classification as "permanent pasture" is the critical thing which everyone do not agree with.
The tropical climate is obviously in the south, along the coast and then not so tropical for the rest, even subarctic. -- When population size and growth, resource depletion, environmental pollution,and outdated technologies are factored in, China's food situation seems grim,especially when one considers that China already supports 22 percent of the world's population on just 7 percent of the earth's arable land.

Btw, Finland does not have any tundra, land which never thaws, due to the north atlantic and the gulf stream. However, only small "trees", shrubs can grow in the very north.
