John, if one looks at the expansion in credit since the '98 crisis, it really takes the breath away. i find it extremely disconcerting that the monetary authorities, instead of being alarmed at this development and attempting to rein it in seem to aid and abet the phenomenon at every turn. at the same time, BLS continues to foster complacency about inflation with the release of tweaked bogus reports. gasoline prices increased by 5% in the most recent reporting period? really? tfc-charts.w2d.com looks like 30% to me.
