Crude oil inventories rose 1.967 million barrels to 322.467 million barrels in the week ended May 11, as imports surged to 9.505 million barrels a day and refinery utilization dropped unexpectedly by 2.1 percentage points to 93.5% of operable capacity, according to API data. The DOE reported an even more bearish build of 2.4 million barrels.
