Why I think it is OK to buy MSFT at any price. If you are long term player, it is OK to buy MSFT at any price. Let us say today you bought at 127 and MSFT gets back to the historical PE of 40 or s, sometime soon, or say even 35. You might loose 1/2 to 1 year in terms capital appreciation (but you won't loose principal) and then you will back on the 50% a year curve again. God, what a stock. Why invest in anything else?
