My situation could very well be night and day different... I bought an Asus A7V motherboard ( Athlon 1.2ghz ), a recommendation from a local computer builder. To bad he didn't inform me that the hardware was so new that there wasn't any operating system that could run on it. To complicate things my video card is an ATI Radeon, which yet again caused conflicts. At the time, the only Linux operating to support my configuration was from suSE, at least with that my investment wasn't totally lost. Now all the main distros work. Anyway -- SP2 fixed it all, my system hasn't been down since last Sunday. No going back for me. Regards Frank P.
