No... In a democratic state, the extremes are naturally alienated by the mainstream. The Orthodox Jews, who have held such control over Israeli culture are being increasingly marginalized.

And funny how you ignore the some odd million Arabs who are officially Israelis citizens...

Any nation where extremists are permitted to gain control over the system of government, WITHOUT being answerable to the people they govern, then I naturally get a bit nervous.

And tell us how many Jews enjoy the same paliamentary reprensentation in Egypt or Jordan as they do in Israel where Arabs/Palestinians actually hold seats in their Knesset??

And do Palestinian/Arab women enjoy more rights in Israel or in Arab nations? And what kind of family would permit their children to go out and throw rocks and riot against a better armed force while their men cower behind them??

Also, I'm through discussing Israel on the China thread. If you wish to discuss it further find a thread to debate the issue.

Btw, I'm not Jewish.
