14:00 ET Dow +229, Nasdaq +52, S&P +23.40: [BRIEFING.COM] The current rally continues to look solid. Both NYSE and Nasdaq
market internals are bullish as read by breadth and volume. Advance volume outpaces decline volume by a 3 to 1 margin on breadth that
skews favorably towards advancers. Biotechs are leading the Nasdaq with the BTK posting a sizeable 7.0% intraday gain. Semiconductors
have also gained momentum (SOX +3.7%) despite a Goldman Sachs downgrade on communication chips this morning. The major averages
are currently hitting new intraday highs and the Dow is notably working on 11,100. Curbs have just been placed on the Dow in light of the
magnitude of today's move. DJTA +0.7%... DJUA +0.6%... XOI +0.7%... Nasdaq 100 +3.4%... S&P Midcap 400 +1.4%... Russell
2000 +0.8%... NYSE Adv/Dec 1905/1095... Nasdaq Adv/Dec 1986/1651.

13:30 ET Dow +177, Nasdaq +34, S&P +17.19: [BRIEFING.COM] The current rally in equities has caught many investors flat footed
today. The addage "buy the rumor, sell the news" is frequently bandied in the markets and many traders were banking on a sell off following
yesterday's interest rate cut from the Fed. While it's a nice rule of thumb, it doesn't work so well when the "buy the rumor" aspect fails to
precede the news. In other words, equity markets sold off in the sessions prior to yesterday's rate cut. On the broader markets, buy interest
is reasonably broad based though retail and financials are somewhat lukewarm to the current buy interest. DJTA +0.6%... DJUA +0.3%...
SOX +2.8%... XOI +0.7%... BTK +5.8%... Nasdaq 100 +2.8%... S&P Midcap 400 +1.2%... Russell 2000 +0.7%... NYSE Adv/Dec
1864/1118... Nasdaq Adv/Dec 1915/1666.
