I am trying to comprehend what you mean? Are you saying that asynchronous just will not work for mobile? Or at least not with the current components (like DSP chips) available (as I believe engineer pointed to)?

Is this why Irwin said they may need to switch wCDMA base stations to synchronous?

If they did this, then this would mean wCDMA was closer to CDMA, no?

I am just trying to empty my head of all the questions "... "synchronization". Can't do mobile without it." brings to mind
