For those interested, I sold my entire position in MTSN over the course of the last three days. Decided over the weekend that there's too much uncertainty for my liking in the financials, and I'm no longer sure that the company is positioned to be a lean, mean, and nimble competitor. The STEAG business is clearly more of a mess than anyone (or at least I) anticipated, and Brad will have to take an axe to the organizational structure before it can be rationalized. Difficult to do, esp in Europe. Makes me uneasy about post-merger integration. Brad will certainly attack the problem and try to do the necessary, and given time the company will probably emerge in fine shape. I certainly hope so. But I'm more comfortable being out of the stock for the next couple of quarters or so. Am still long other companies in the sector. Good luck to all longs. MTSN been berry berry good to me. I'm be hoping to be back in before long. AD PS: I happened to hear from one old-timer on the thread who seems to have come to the same conclusions I did. Am curious about the views of other long-time Mattson stalwarts like Ian and John S. Are you guys out there? What are your views? Thx.
