Gold - definately some rotation into minors today. KGC up 25%, HL (silver) up 25% as well. askresearch.com You can go back 4 years on KGC and not find any day with as high as volume as the 2 days within the last week where it traded about 2 mil shares on the US exchange and 6 mil on the Canada exchange. After a 20 year bear I'm betting this is fresh money coming in for the long haul - not just a trade. Most likely gold fund buying. In order for KGC to catch up to it's peers it should be at least $1 - 1.5 US now (currently .75). Will continue to hold KGC for the long term, but will trade other more liquid issues from time to time. May even begin a short position in NEM soon as a partial hedge against my long positions. Won't short NEM until we show more definate signs of topping. Not there yet. Too much short interest to consider anything but a small position. Nice breakout on HGMCY as well. Should go to high 6's low 7 before this run is over.
