My mother in law has very high cholesterol and she's allergic to all the traditional prescriptive medications, apparently the side effects are debilitating... so her doctor suggested she take Red Yeast Rice, 600 mg dose twice a day... I searched it on the net and I found a lot of statistical studies which support the supposition that Red Yeast Rice is the very same as the prescribed medications such as Zocor and Lipitor without all the debilitating side effects... she now has no side effect problems and she feels better, she'll be tested again in about 6 weeks from now... I'll certainly post the results... GZ
