Delay became inevitable following a crunch meeting last Wednesday between NEC engineers and BT. NEC ... is understood to have refused to fix a critical software bug in time to meet BT's original timetable.
I wonder what they mean by refused? Here are some interpretations: > Refused as in there is not enough money in it for us to put in the manpower required. > Refused as in we cannot solve the problem in the original timeframe. > Refused as in we cannot solve the problem in the original timeframe and have no idea when we can - so make whatever promise you want, but don't hold us to it.
Anone care to add others?

No time to find that specific post, but I think it was Dennis (Roth??) who noted that QCOM could be happy with testing, debugging, fixing their system in Korea and not in UK... (or something like that)

P.S. But we all, I assume, enjoy Benny Hill, Mr Bean, Red Dwarf, Smith and Jones, etc and other witty twit-twit-brits... (but CNBC-UK is too much for my blood pressure)

This story is better than any novel I've ever read.
No kidding.
Not sure if it is a novel or a soap opera.
International political intrigue, innuendo, cabals, in-fighting, fudmeisters, villians, heros, greed, power, willful deceit.
Needs more sex, however.
