Bob,

I think Congaree ran a real nice race in the Derby. He was just off the pace and held fairly well - the only one. As a lightly raced horse he is eligible to improve to begin with and I suspect the conditions of the Preakness will be more to his liking.

I also think you have to either throw out Point Given's race - or at least not put much weight on it. He has never thrown in a clinker before and lots of horses don't fire Derby day and then come back strong at the Preakness.

Monarchos ran well also, but he had an easy trip for a deep closer. The pace was fast and he never got stopped. It was clear sailing all the way. Great ride by Chavez.

Unfortunately, I think the odds are pretty much going to reflect my view. So it may be difficult to come up with a bet. We'll see.
