This company is a centipede! Robotic Vision says to delay Q2 report, restate earlier results CANTON, Mass., May 15 (Reuters) - Robotic Vision Systems (NASDAQ:ROBV), which makes measuring and checking systems for semiconductors, said on Tuesday that it delayed the release of its second-quarter earnings to correct accounting errors and will restate results of its fiscal year 2000 and the quarter ended Dec. 31. Robotic Vision Systems said that it intends to file with the Securities and Exchange Commission to extend the filing date of its quarterly report to May 21. The company said it is to restate its financial results to correct accounting errors involving revenue at its Acuity CiMatrix division. Robotic Vision estimates the revenue for the fiscal year 2000 is about $223.5 million, or 1.9 percent less than reported earlier and its net income about $10.9 million, or 10.6 percent less. The company also estimates the revenue for the quarter ended December 2000 is about $32.6 million more than reported earlier and the net loss is about $13.8 million less than reported earlier. Robotic Vision shares closed up 8 cents at $2.16 on the Nasdaq.
