I think William honestly thought he had a winning strategy and all he did was share his strategy with others. He never made any performance guarantees to anyone did he? He didn't charge anyone money for advice did he? You get what you pay for. The problem is many of these people that looked up to William as a guru and blindly followed him showed up to the party too late. Past performance is not indicative of future results. But that doesn't make him a bad person, just a person who made a mistake.
